Parking in Ramp Adjacent to Building

The Centre Village Building has a parking ramp adjacent to the building that you enter on 5th Avenue South – immediately after crossing 8th street.  5th Avenue is a one way going north so you need to be in the left lane to turn into the ramp.  Once in the ramp the payment system is automated – you can either use a credit card to enter and then use the same card to exit at which time you’ll get a receipt or you need to take your ticket with you and pay at an automated pay station at the skyway level of the building.

Once you’ve parked you need to get to the skyway level of the building.  If you take the elevators to the skyway, then you need to walk to your right to through another skyway and another set of glass doors to a set of elevators.  These elevators will take you to the 25th floor. 

Entering the Building from Street Level (if you’re walking from another location)

The entrance to the Centre Village Building at the street level is in the middle of the block on 7th street and is set back from the street several feet.  If you go into the door with the convenience store then you are at the parking ramp elevators.  The door further into the alley is the door to the elevators that go to the office and condo suites.

Driving Directions

From Hwy 55 Eastbound (Golden Valley): Follow Hwy 55 across Lyndale Ave.  Turn right onto North 7th St (Hwy 55 signs also veer right).  North 7th St. will turn into North 10th St.  Follow all the way to South 5th Ave., and take a left. Follow to South 8th St and take a left just past the corner into the parking ramp.

From I-94 Westbound (St. Paul/Wisconsin): Take 5th Street Exit (#234b) and stay in left lane.  Follow around left side of the Metrodome to Portland Ave.  Turn left and follow in right lane to South 7th St.  Make a right turn and move to far left lane to 4th Avenue.  Make a left turn and stay in the left lane to 8th Street.  Make a left turn and stay in the left lane to 5th Avenue.  Make a left turn and just near the corner on the left is the entrance to the parking ramp. 

From I-94 Eastbound (North suburbs & St. Cloud): Take the 4th St. North Exit (#230).  Remain on 4th St. to Portland.  Turn right on Portland and follow in right lane to South 7th St.  Make a right turn and move to far left lane to 4th Ave. South.  Make a left turn and stay in the left lane take to 8th Street.  Make a left turn and stay in the left lane and go to 5th Avenue.  Turn left and just near the corner on the left is the entrance to the parking ramp.

From I-35W Northbound (Airport/South): Follow Downtown Hwy. 65 Signs which will turn into South 5th Ave.  Stay in left lane and follow to South Eighth Street.  Make a left turn just north past the corner into the parking ramp.

From I-35W Southbound (Duluth/North): Take the Washington Ave. Exit (17c).  Turn right on Washington Ave. and follow to Portland Ave.  Turn left and follow (in right lane) to South 7th St. Turn right and move to left lane to 5th Ave.  Centre Village Building is on the corner of 5th Avenue and 7th Street.
