MORE Corps members

Minnesota Opioid Response Corps is designed to help organizations serving individuals along the addiction and recovery care continuum build capacity in order to quickly and thoughtfully address the opioid epidemic in the state of Minnesota. Members build capacity of partnering organizations to strengthen prevention programs, access to care, interventions, and post-treatment support.

Essential qualifications to participate in program:

  • Must be 18 years of age, a US citizen, national, or legal permanent resident alien, and a high school graduate (or equivalent). Two or four-year degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Experience with and/or understanding of the nonprofit sector or office environments preferred.
  • Willingness to commit to a full year of service. Hours must be completed within 11 months of start date.
  • Direct or indirect experience with substance use disorders and strong desire to effect change across the addiction care continuum.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders, including colleagues, program participants, and external partners.
  • Experience in facilitating groups preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative, organize workload, and manage multiple projects with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated experience with intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, internet, data entry, e-mail, database management and software use, etc.).
  • Access to regular, reliable transportation.

Positions are full-time. They are filled on a rolling basis and kick off the service year in September.
