Jim Vogl retired in November 2025 following over three decades of leadership experience in the healthcare and technology sectors, most recently serving as Vice President of Patient Care Systems within Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Management business. In this role, he had global responsibility for a digital health portfolio supporting over 1.4 million annual cardiac device implants and impacting more than 3 million patients worldwide. He led a team of over 900 professionals, including more than 700 software engineers, driving innovation at the intersection of digital health, patient monitoring, and clinical outcomes.
Throughout his 20+ year tenure at Medtronic, Mr. Vogl held multiple Vice President and General Manager positions, leading strategic initiatives across sales, service, and technology operations within the $10B+ Cardiac & Vascular Group. He played a key role in commercializing patient management services, implementing global customer solutions, and building scalable digital infrastructures that meet rigorous regulatory standards. His expertise spans P&L oversight, enterprise transformation, commercial strategy, AI implementation, and risk mitigation in highly regulated industries.
A committed community leader, Mr. Vogl served on the Board of Directors of Benilde-St. Margaret’s School for eight years, including two years as Board Chair. He holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a BA from the University of Iowa, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Vogl brings to the boardroom deep experience in digital transformation, healthcare innovation, regulatory strategy, global operations, and enterprise leadership.
